THE PSALM 83 WAR

It would behoove you to get familiar with Psalm 83. It is a prophecy of an upcoming war between Israel and her neighbors. Here is a link to the map of the peoples in this ancient text:

I believe this war is on the brink of happening right now.  One small spark could set it off in a flash fire.  And it could also bring about the prophecy of Isaiah 17:1-3, the Burden of Damascus.

Here is Psalm 83 in it's entirety:

1 O God, do not remain silent;
   do not turn a deaf ear,
   do not stand aloof, O God.
2 See how your enemies growl,
   how your foes rear their heads.
3 With cunning they conspire against your people;
   they plot against those you cherish.
4 “Come,” they say, “let us destroy them as a nation,
   so that Israel’s name is remembered no more.”
 5 With one mind they plot together;
   they form an alliance against you—
6 the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites,
   of Moab and the Hagrites,
7 Byblos, Ammon and Amalek,
   Philistia, with the people of Tyre.
8 Even Assyria has joined them
   to reinforce Lot’s descendants.[b]
 9 Do to them as you did to Midian,
   as you did to Sisera and Jabin at the river Kishon,
10 who perished at Endor
   and became like dung on the ground.
11 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb,
   all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
12 who said, “Let us take possession
   of the pasturelands of God.”
 13 Make them like tumbleweed, my God,
   like chaff before the wind.
14 As fire consumes the forest
   or a flame sets the mountains ablaze,
15 so pursue them with your tempest
   and terrify them with your storm.
16 Cover their faces with shame, LORD,
   so that they will seek your name.
 17 May they ever be ashamed and dismayed;
   may they perish in disgrace.
18 Let them know that you, whose name is the LORD—
   that you alone are the Most High over all the earth.

This war is going to be what convinces Israel their God fights for them.  God is going to somehow supernaturally intervene OR make an impossible situation become a miraculous victory for Israel.

Here is the prophecy in Isaiah 17:1-3:

1 A prophecy against Damascus:
   “See, Damascus will no longer be a city
   but will become a heap of ruins.
2 The cities of Aroer will be deserted
   and left to flocks, which will lie down,
   with no one to make them afraid.
3 The fortified city will disappear from Ephraim,
   and royal power from Damascus;
the remnant of Aram will be
   like the glory of the Israelites,”
            declares the LORD Almighty.

Since Damascus has been a city for thousands of years and never a "ruinous heap", we know this prophecy is still forthcoming.  Considering the upheaval in Syria right now, it's not a far stretch to think we'll be seeing this prophecy very soon.

As the following video points out, could the uniting of Fatah and Hamas, and this "Third Intifada" that's being called for on May 15th across the Arab world, and the flotilla approaching Israel be the beginning of the prophetic Psalm 83 war?  If ailing Arab countries like Syria are desperate enough to unite their people, they could join in and declare war just to take the focus off ousting President Assad.

Keep your eyes open in the next two weeks, folks.  Things could get real ugly real fast.
